It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that during Khaybar, a man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I have eaten donkey meat twice. He came again and said: The donkeys are being finished off by being eaten. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then had it announced that surely Allah Almighty and His Messenger have forbidden the eating of domestic donkey meat, because it is impure.
