بَابُ سُقوطِ نَفَقَةِ الْمُلَا عَنَةِ وَعَدْمٍ قَدَفِهَا وَإِنْ لَا يُدْعَى وَلَدُهَا لَابِChapter: Dropping the Maintenance of the Woman Who Underwent Li'an, Not Accusing Her, and That Her Child Is Not Attributed to the Husband

عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي وَلَدِ الْمُتَلَاعِنَيْنِ إِنَّهُ يَرِثُ مِيرَاثَ أُمِّهِ وَتَرِثُهُ وَمَنْ قَفَاهَا بِهِ جُلِدَ ثَمَانِينَ وَمَنْ دَعَاهُ وَلَدَ زِنًا جُلِدَ ثَمَانِينَ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) gave the verdict regarding the child of a couple who performed li'an (mutual cursing) that such a child will inherit from his mother and the mother will inherit from the child. Whoever, after li'an, accuses the woman or her child, will be given eighty (80) lashes.
