Hadith 7203

عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَ الْعَجْلَانِيِّ وَامْرَأَتِهِ قَالَ وَكَانَتْ حُبْلَى فَقَالَ وَاللَّهِ مَا قَرَبْتُهَا مُنْذُ عَفَرْنَا وَالْعَفْرُ أَنْ يُسْقَى النَّخْلُ بَعْدَ أَنْ يُتْرَكَ مِنَ السَّقْيِ بَعْدَ الْإِبَارِ بِشَهْرَيْنِ قَالَ وَكَانَ زَوْجُهَا حَمْشَ السَّاقَيْنِ وَالذِّرَاعَيْنِ أَصْهَبَ الشَّعَرَةِ وَكَانَ الَّذِي رُمِيَتْ بِهِ ابْنَ السَّحْمَاءِ قَالَ فَوَلَدَتْ غُلَامًا أَسْوَدَ أَجْلَى جَعْدًا عَبْلَ الذِّرَاعَيْنِ قَالَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَهِيَ الْمَرْأَةُ الَّتِي قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ كُنْتُ رَاجِمًا بِغَيْرِ بَيِّنَةٍ لَرَجَمْتُهَا قَالَ لَا تِلْكَ امْرَأَةٌ قَدْ أَعْلَنَتْ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ
. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made Aylan tribe’s Uwaymir and his wife perform li’an (mutual cursing). His wife was pregnant. Uwaymir said: By Allah! Since the first time I irrigated the date palms, I have not gone near her (so how did she become pregnant), and I watered the date palms two months after grafting. This Uwaymir, who was the husband of the woman, had thin shins and thin arms, and there was a reddish tinge in his hair. The man with whom the woman was accused was Sharik bin Sahma. The woman gave birth to a child who was dark-skinned, had curly hair, thick arms, and strong shins. Ibn Shaddad bin Had said to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): Was this the same woman about whom the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If I were to stone anyone without witnesses, I would have stoned this woman? He said: No, it was not her, it was another woman; she used to display immodesty despite being in Islam.
