It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that when ‘Uwaymir ‘Ajlani performed li’an with his wife, he said: O Messenger of Allah! If I now keep my wife with me, it is as if I am oppressing her, therefore she is divorced, she is divorced, she is divorced.
