Ata says: We were present with Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) at Sarf on the occasion of her funeral, along with Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both). He said: This is Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). When you lift her bier, do not move it too much (rather, lift the body gently so that her honor is not affected), because the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had nine (9) wives. He (peace and blessings be upon him) had assigned turns for them, except for one. Ata says: The one for whom a turn was not assigned was Sayyida Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her).
