Hadith 7134

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ مِنْ أَكْمَلِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِيمَانًا أَحْسَنَهُمْ خُلُقًا وَأَلْطَفَهُمْ بِأَهْلِهِ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among the people, the most complete in faith are those who have the best character and are kind and gracious to their wives.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The person who knows a man’s good character the most is his wife. Nowadays, people are busy being loyal only to their outside friends and companions. Friends are often praising a man greatly, but if his wife is asked about him, she is not even willing to say a single good word in his favor. This is not the behavior of good people. The testimony regarding whether a man’s character is good or bad will be given by his wife.
Practically, it has been observed in some people that after eating dinner, they go out to their friends and return at one or two o’clock at night, by which time the wife and children are fast asleep. Then, when the wife and children wake up in the morning and the wife prepares the children and sends them to educational institutions, the head of the household is still sleeping. This is a deviation from the path of moderation, and in this way, the proper upbringing of the family members does not take place.
