Hadith 7130

Narrated by Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Woman was created from a rib; if you try to straighten her, you will break her, so treat her with kindness and gentleness, so that you may continue to live with her.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It will be an unending dream of a man that his wife fulfills one hundred percent of his desires, because Allah Ta’ala has not placed such capability in women, except as Allah wills; there may be one or two examples in some region. Therefore, the husband should, keeping in view this nature of woman, also display some patience.

Hafiz Ibn Hajar said: This hadith indicates that Sayyidah Hawwa (alayha as-salam) was created from the left rib of Adam (alayhis-salam).
