Hadith 7117

Bahz bin Hakim narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that he said: O Messenger of Allah! These are our wives, what dealings with them are permissible for us and what are not permissible? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: They are your fields, so come to your field as you wish, but do not strike her on the face, nor speak to her with hateful words. (If angry) only leave her in the house. When you eat, feed her as well, and when you dress, clothe her as well. Now how will you not fulfill these rights, while you have already had intercourse with each other, except if a situation arises in which the wife may be punished (or her rights may be reduced).

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … "She is your tilth, so come to your tilth as you wish" — this refers to the manner in which a woman is laid down, otherwise, for intercourse (jima‘), only that place should be used which Allah Ta‘ala has created for this purpose. It has already been clarified that using the wife from the back (anal intercourse) is haram; however, the right of conjugal relations can be fulfilled from behind (i.e., approaching from the back but still using the vaginal canal).

Do not utter disliked (makruh) words such as: "May Allah make you ugly," "May He make you evil," "May He distance you from goodness and well-being."
