عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَشْجَعَ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْعَزْلِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ امْرَأَتِي تُرْضِعُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ مَا يُقَدَّرُ فِي الرَّحِمِ فَسَيَكُونُ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him): A man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I practice coitus interruptus with my wife. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Why? He said: Out of compassion for her children. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If that is the case, then surely do not practice coitus interruptus, for this thing has not harmed Persia and Rome in any way.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The meaning of the statement of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is that if you practice coitus interruptus (azl) with the view that it will harm the child, then indeed, do not do so, because the Persians and Romans perform such an act, yet there is no harm to their nursing infants.
