It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says: We used to practice coitus interruptus during the time of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Noble Qur'an was being revealed.
Hadith Takhrij«أخرجه مسلم: 1440 ، (انظر مسند أحمد ترقيم الرسالة: 14318 ترقیم بيت الأفكار الدولية: 14369»
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Despite this, we have not been prohibited from practicing coitus interruptus (azl). If coitus interruptus were forbidden, it would certainly have been prohibited.
The following words from a narration in Sahih Muslim are even clearer than the aforementioned hadith:
Sayyiduna Jabir radi Allahu anhu says: "We used to practice coitus interruptus (azl) during the time of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. When this reached the Prophet of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he did not prohibit us." … We used to practice coitus interruptus during the time of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam; when he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam became aware of this, he did not forbid us.
