عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ تَوَضَّأَ بِالْمَقَاعِدِ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا وَعِنْدَهُ رِجَالٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: أَلَيْسَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُمْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ؟ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) performed ablution three times at each part at Maqa'id. The noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) were present with him. He asked them: "Did you see the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing ablution in this manner?" They replied: "Yes."
