عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ فِي حِجْرِي جَارِيَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَزَوَّجْتُهَا قَالَتْ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ عُرْسِهَا فَلَمْ يَسْمَعْ لَعِبًا فَقَالَ يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ هَذَا الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يُحِبُّونَ كَذَا وَكَذَا
Narrated by Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: There was a girl from the Ansar under my care, I married her off, and on that occasion, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not hear any entertainment, he said: O Aisha! This tribe of the Ansar is very fond of entertainment and such activities.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Sayyidah Aishah radi Allahu anha arranged the marriage of a woman with an Ansari man. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “O Aishah! Was there no entertainment with you? Indeed, the Ansar like entertainment.” (Sahih Bukhari: 5162)
