Hadith 7047

Humaid bin Abdur Rahman narrates from a companion of the Messenger of Allah that the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When two people invite you at the same time, then accept the invitation of the one whose door is closer, because the one whose door is closer is a nearer neighbor. And if one of them invites you first, then accept the invitation of the one who invited you first.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Preference should be given to the nearby inviter.
If two people invite at the same time, preference should be given to the one who is nearby, and if someone comes first, then his invitation should be accepted even if he is from a distant place. (Abdullah Rafiq)
