بَابُ حُكْمِ الْوَلِيمَةِ وَاسْتِحْبَابِهَا بِالشَّاةِ فَأَكْثَرَ وَجَوَازِهَا بدونهاChapter: Ruling on the Wedding Feast, Its Recommendation with a Sheep or More, and Its Permissibility Without It
Hadith 7033

عَنْ ثَابِتِ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَعَلَ وَلِيمَةَ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَيٍّ التَّمْرَ وَالْأَقِطَ وَالسَّمْنَ قَالَ فُحِصَتِ الْأَرْضُ أَفَاحِيصَ قَالَ وَجِيءَ بِالْأَنْطَاعِ فَوُضِعَتْ فِيهَا ثُمَّ جِيءَ بِالْأَقِطِ وَالتَّمْرِ وَالسَّمْنِ فَشَبِعَ النَّاسُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) held the wedding banquet (walima) of Sayyidah Safiyyah bint Huyayy (may Allah be pleased with her) with dates, cheese, and ghee. The ground was dug and leveled, then tablecloths were spread, and on them were placed cheese, dates, and ghee. The people ate to their fill.
