عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْمُحْرِمُ لَا يَنْكِحُ وَلَا يُنْكِحُ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ
Narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one in the state of Ihram should neither marry himself, nor arrange the marriage of another, nor send a proposal of engagement.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … A person in the state of ihram (muhrim) cannot contract a marriage (nikah), nor can he arrange a marriage for someone else, nor can he settle an engagement (mangni).
