وَعَنْهَا أَيْضًا سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ (وَفِي لَفْظٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ) أَتُحَرِّمُ الْمَصَّةُ؟ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((لَا)).
Lady Umm Fadl (may Allah be pleased with her) also narrates that a man asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) whether the prohibition (of marriage) is established by suckling once. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: No, it is not established.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From the ahadith of this chapter, it is understood that suckling (rada‘ah) is not established by one or two instances of breastfeeding; this issue has already been clarified at the end of the previous chapter.
