Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hadra Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that he came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked about a woman. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: How much dowry have you fixed for her? He said: Two hundred dirhams. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Even if you fill the valley of Bathan in Madinah with silver coins, do not exceed this amount.
