Hadith 6912

It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that when someone got married, the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would congratulate him with these words: BĀRAKALLĀHU LAKA WA BĀRAKA ‘ALAYKA WA JAMA‘A BAYNAKUMĀ FĪ KHAIR (May Allah bless you, and shower blessings upon you, and unite both of you in goodness and well-being.)

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Among us, on every occasion of happiness, these words are said: "Mubarak ho" (Congratulations). The correct word is "mubārak," not "mubārik." Although the meaning of these words is indeed that this happiness may prove to be a source of blessing for you, nowadays these words are used merely at the level of the word itself, without regard for their meaning. Therefore, it is more appropriate that only those words be repeated which the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) taught for such occasions. Also, reflect upon the following hadith.
