عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا كُلَّهَا مَتَاعٌ وَخَيْرُ مَتَاعِ الدُّنْيَا الْمَرْأَةُ الصَّالِحَةُ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The whole world is a provision, and the best asset of the world is a righteous woman.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … “Mata‘” refers to something from which a little benefit is derived and which comes to an end quickly. The world and everything in it is “mata‘”; in comparison to the Hereafter, its benefit is very little, and that too is soon to perish.
A righteous woman is the best asset in the world, because she protects her husband from the unlawful (haram) and assists him in fulfilling his worldly and religious affairs. And every pleasure that serves as an aid in attaining the pleasures of the Hereafter is beloved and favored by Allah Ta‘ala.
