Hadith 6843

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no compulsion in Islam.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … "Sarurat" has two meanings: (1) Tabattul (abstinence from marriage), the details of which have already been discussed in Hadith number 6839, and (2) not performing Hajj, meaning that there is no allowance in Islam for abandoning Hajj, provided one has the ability.

Although this hadith is weak, there is no allowance for either of these two things in Islam: neither for tabattul nor for abandoning Hajj.
