Hadith 6821

عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ الظَّفَرِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ((يَخْرُجُ مِنَ الْكَاهِنِينَ رَجُلٌ يَدْرُسُ الْقُرْآنَ دِرَاسَةً لَا يَدْرُسُهَا أَحَدٌ يَكُونُ بَعْدَهُ)).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Burdah Zufari, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: A man from among the soothsayers will appear, he will recite the Noble Qur'an in such a manner that after him no one will recite like him.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From these ahadith, it is established that the earnings of soothsaying (kahānah) are unlawful (haram). There is consensus and agreement among the people of knowledge regarding its prohibition.
