عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يُجْلَدُ فَوْقَ عَشَرَةِ جَلَدَاتٍ إِلَّا فِي حَدٍّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Burdah bin Niyar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No one should be beaten with more than ten lashes, except in the case of one of the limits set by Allah the Exalted.
