It is narrated from Abu Wadaak, he says: I have not drunk nabidh since I heard this hadith from Sayyiduna Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him). He says: A man was brought to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and people informed that he was intoxicated. He said: I only drank after putting dried grapes and dates in a gourd vessel. In any case, he was beaten with shoes and pushed with hands, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade drinking by mixing dried grapes and dates in a gourd vessel.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … When wine was prohibited, the vessels from which the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam forbade (their use), one of them was the gourd vessel. Later, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam permitted the use of all those vessels. Mixing dried dates (manqā) and fresh dates (tamr) to make nabidh was prohibited because intoxication develops quickly in them.
