Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) asked Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) how the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed masah (wiping) over the leather socks. He replied: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) relieved himself, then had a vessel brought, and washed his face and hands, and performed masah over the leather socks and the turban.
