Hadith 6771

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to me and said: O Muhammad! Indeed, Allah Almighty has cursed regarding wine: the wine itself, the one who squeezes it, the one for whom it is squeezed, the one who drinks it, the one who carries it, the one to whom it is carried, the one who sells it, the one who buys it, the one who serves it, and the one who demands it to be served.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In the matter of wine, the primary sinner is indeed the one who drinks it, for it is made for his consumption. However, due to him, further curse has been pronounced upon those individuals who assist in delivering the wine to the concerned person.

The meaning of this hadith, therefore, is that assisting in evil and wrongdoing is itself a sinful act.
