Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Apparently, from this blessed hadith it seems that the woman's hand was cut off due to her denial of the borrowed item. However, the majority of scholars are of the opinion that the hand cannot be cut off merely due to such denial. Moreover, in some authentic ahadith, it has been clarified that this woman had committed theft, and therefore the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) ordered her hand to be cut off due to that theft. Thus, this hadith will be interpreted as being concise (i.e., summarizing the incident).
