Hadith 6746

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Malik Awsi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding a slave-girl: If she commits adultery, then flog her; if she commits adultery again, then flog her again; if she commits adultery a third time, then enforce the prescribed punishment on her; if she commits adultery even after that, then sell her, even if you have to sell her for a rope. The mention of selling was for the third or fourth time.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The meaning of not refraining from evil despite having the prescribed punishment (hadd) applied three or four times is that evil has become predominant in the slave-girl, and she has become distant from goodness and virtue. Therefore, the command has been given to sell her.
