Narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Ma'iz bin Malik was brought to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He was a man of short stature and was only wearing a waistcloth, without an upper sheet. Meanwhile, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was reclining on a cushion on his left side. Then he (Ma'iz) spoke to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but I was far away and there were people between me and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so I could not find out (what was said). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said about him: Take him away. Then he said: Bring him back. He spoke again and I was listening. This time the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Take him away and stone him. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and addressed (the people) and said: When we go out in the way of Allah and a man from among the people stays behind, he makes a sound like a goat to fulfill the intensity of his desire and, with a little effort, entraps a woman. By Allah! If I gain power over such a person, I will give him a painful punishment.
