عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَخْلُوَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ بِامْرَأَةٍ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ ثَالِثُهَا وَمَنْ سَرَّتْهُ حَسَنَتُهُ وَسَاءَتْهُ سَيِّئَتُهُ فَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ
Narrated from Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Never should any man be alone with a woman, for the third among them is the devil. And whoever finds goodness pleasing and evil displeasing to him, then he is a believer.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Finding goodness appealing and evil repugnant is a felicity granted to the believer after establishing a deep relationship with Allah Ta'ala. After attaining this felicity, the amount of good deeds increases day by day, and the quantity of evil deeds begins to decrease.
