عَنِ ابْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَصَابَ ذَنْبًا أُقِيمَ عَلَيْهِ حَدُّ ذَلِكَ الذَّنْبِ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَتُهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever commits a sin and then the prescribed punishment for that sin is carried out upon him, then that will be an expiation for him.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … If someone commits a sin that warrants a prescribed punishment (hadd), and that punishment is carried out upon him, then this hadd becomes an expiation (kaffarah) for his sin.
