Hadith 6576

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that in the year of the conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, entered Makkah while there was a helmet on his head. When he, peace and blessings be upon him, removed it, a man came to him and said: Ibn Khatal is hanging onto the curtains of the Ka'bah. He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Kill him.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had Ibn Khatal killed inside the Ka‘bah at a time when fighting had been permitted for you sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for a certain period. On the occasion of the Conquest of Makkah, when the specified time for fighting had passed, then you sallallahu alayhi wa sallam declared its sanctity, which will remain until the Day of Resurrection.

Reciting poetry in the mosque for the purpose of admonition, advice, condemnation of the disbelievers, or any other good purpose is permissible. The Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to Hassaan radi Allahu anhu: “Respond to the polytheists on my behalf,” then he supplicated for him: “Allahumma ayyid’hu bi-Ruh il-Qudus” — “O Allah! Support him with Jibril.” (Bukhari: 6150/6051) (Abdullah Rafiq)
