بَاب فَضْلِ مَنِ اسْتَحَقَّ الْقِصَاصَ وَعَفَاChapter: The virtue of one who is entitled to retribution and pardons
Hadith 6566

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ مَا رُفِعَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمْرٌ فِيهِ الْقِصَاصُ إِلَّا أَمَرَ فِيهِ بِالْعَفْوِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever a case involving retribution (qisas) was presented to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would first command forgiveness.
