Hadith 6505

Urwah narrates that Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) informed him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) considered the lizard to be a harmful and wicked animal, but she did not hear any such hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in which he ordered it to be killed.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The narration regarding the killing of the lizard (chhipkali) is reported from several Companions, including Sayyidah Aisha radi Allahu anha. It is possible that Sayyidah Aisha meant that she herself did not personally hear the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam say this.
