عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِقَتْلِ الْوَزَغِ وَسَمَّاهُ فُوَيْسِقًا
Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the killing of the lizard and declared it to be harmful and sinful.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Since, compared to other insects, the lizard is more harmful and troublesome, it has therefore been declared a fasiq (transgressor).
