Sayyiduna Zaid bin Aslam narrates that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) opened one of his windows, and Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) was also present with him. Suddenly, a snake appeared. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) ordered it to be killed, but Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded that they should be warned before being killed.
