(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا يَأْمُرُ بِقَتْلِ الْحَيَّاتِ كُلِّهِنَّ لَا يَدَعُ مِنْهُنَّ شَيْئًا حَتَّى حَدَّثَهُ أَبُو لُبَابَةَ الْبَدْرِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ جِنَّانِ الْبُيُوتِ
(Second chain) Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to order the killing of all kinds of snakes and would not spare any, until Sayyiduna Abu Lubabah Badrī (may Allah be pleased with him) informed him that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had forbidden the killing of household snakes.
