Hadith 6486

وَمِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ) قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِنًى قَالَ: فَخَرَجَتْ عَلَيْنَا حَيَّةٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((اقْتُلُوهَا)) فَابْتَدَرْنَاهَا فَسَبَقَتْنَا
(Second chain) Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at Mina, when suddenly a snake appeared. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Kill it. So we ran to kill it, but it escaped.
