عَنْ جُنْدُبِ بْنِ الْبَجَلِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَصَابَتْهُ جِرَاحَةٌ فَحُمِلَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ فَآلَمَتْهُ جِرَاحَتُهُ فَاسْتَخْرَجَ سَهْمًا مِنْ كِنَانَتِهِ فَطَعَنَ بِهِ فِي لَبَّتِهِ فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ فِيمَا يَرْوِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ سَابَقَنِي بِنَفْسِهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jundub Bajli, may Allah be pleased with him, that a man was wounded, he was brought home, his wounds made him restless, and he took an arrow from his quiver and pierced it into his throat. When people mentioned this to the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he narrated from Allah Almighty, saying: My servant has hastened with regard to his soul ahead of Me.
