Hadith 6452

It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, the person who will receive the severest punishment among the people will be the one who killed a prophet or was killed by a prophet, and the leader of misguidance and error, and the maker of images.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Due to the cessation of the chain of noble Prophets, we have been permanently safeguarded from the first two crimes. However, a Muslim should ensure that he does not become a cause for anyone’s misguidance. If he is able to implement matters of goodness and virtue, then that is well and good; otherwise, he should remain silent and withdraw from the affairs of people. In this way, he should also refrain from making images, which is the greatest tribulation (fitnah) of this era. This practice begins right at the start of our children’s education and, as time goes on, takes the form of a permanent field. Fa ilallahi al-mushka (So to Allah alone is the complaint). We ask Allah Ta’ala for well-being.
