Narrated from Sayyiduna Khursha bin Harith, may Allah be pleased with him, who was among the Companions, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: None of you should be present at the time of someone's killing, because it is possible that he is being killed unjustly, and thus the one present may also incur the displeasure of Allah Almighty.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The Islamic instructions related to this subject are clear: if a killing is being carried out according to the laws of Islam, then there is no harm in remaining there, such as in the case of executing a murderer or an apostate. However, if someone is being killed unjustly, then one should practically prevent it, and if lacking the power to do so, then prevent it with one's tongue; otherwise, at least consider it evil in one's heart. Furthermore, one should keep away from the place where such oppression is being committed, distancing oneself from that place of evil.
