Hadith 6428

(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَجُوزُ شَهَادَةُ خَائِنٍ وَلَا مَحْدُودٍ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ وَلَا ذِي غِمْرٍ عَلَى أَخِيهِ
(Second chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The testimony of a treacherous person is not permissible, nor of the one upon whom a legal punishment has been carried out in Islam, nor of the one who harbors malice against his brother.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … If it is clearly known that the betrayer and the person liable for hadd (prescribed punishment) have repented, and the signs of repentance are visible upon them, then, insha’Allah, their testimony will be accepted. Nevertheless, there is a difference of opinion on this issue.
