بَابُ إِثْمِ مَنْ خَاصَمَ فِي بَاطِلٍ وَإِنْ حُكِمَ لَهُ بِهِ فِي الظَّاهِرِ وَهَلْ يَحْكُمُ الْقَاضِي بِعِلْمِهِ أَمْ لَاChapter: The sin of one who argues falsely, even if he is given judgment outwardly, and whether the judge may judge by his own knowledge
Hadith 6414

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ((مَنْ خَاصَمَ فِي بَاطِلٍ وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُهُ لَمْ يَزَلْ فِي سَخَطِ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يَنْزِعَ))
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever argues unjustly despite knowing (the truth), he will remain in the displeasure of Allah Almighty until he gives it up.

Benefits: … Among us, due to familial and religious prejudice, there are such examples where people become determined to support the oppressor, and do not even refrain from giving false testimonies in his favor in courts and tribunals.
