Hadith 6407

عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الرَّاشِيَ وَالْمُرْتَشِيَ، وَالرَّائِشَ يَعْنِي الَّذِي يَمْشِي بَيْنَهُمَا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) cursed the one who gives a bribe, the one who takes a bribe, and the one who acts as an intermediary between them.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … A "ra’ish" (middleman) is one who, by mediating between the bribe-taker and the bribe-giver, participates in the bribe by negotiating an increase or decrease in its amount.
