Narrated by Sayyiduna Amr bin Al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When usury becomes widespread in a nation, famine is imposed upon them, and when bribery becomes common in a nation, they are afflicted with fear and terror.
