بَابُ الْمِيرَاتِ بالولاءChapter: Inheritance by allegiance (wala’)
Hadith 6381

عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((لَا يُقَادُ وَالِدٌ مِنْ وَلَدٍ)) وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((يَرِثُ الْمَالَ مَنْ يَرِثُ الْوَلَاءَ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah said: Retaliation (qisas) shall not be taken from the father in exchange for his child. Also, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever inherits the right of wala’, he will also inherit the wealth.
