Hadith 634

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا وَضُوءَ لَهُ وَلَا وَضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no prayer for the person who does not have ablution, and there is no ablution for the person who does not recite «بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ» over the ablution."
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Hafiz Ibn Salah said: From the collective body of these ahadith, only that much is established which is established from a hasan (good) hadith. (Al-Nata'ij by Ibn Hajar: 1/237) Hafiz Ibn Hajar said: The strength that arises from the collective body of these ahadith indicates that there is some basis for this issue. (Al-Talkhis al-Habir: 1/75)
