Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Abu Dharr! Never accept guardianship over the wealth of an orphan, nor act as a judge between two people.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Sponsoring an orphan and the field of judiciary are among the best deeds, but they require perfect asceticism (zuhd) and piety (taqwa), as well as justice and fairness. Keeping these great responsibilities in view, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam advised Sayyiduna Abu Dharr radi Allahu anhu to refrain from these actions. There is a significant possibility that, at the time of judgment, the judge’s inclination may lean toward one of the parties, and while sponsoring an orphan, one might end up using the orphan’s wealth.
