بَابُ الْحَقِّ عَلَى الْوَصِيَّةِ وَالنَّهْيِ عَنِ الْحَيْفِ فِيهَا وَفَضِيلَةِ التَّنْجِيرِ حَالَ الْحَيَاةِChapter: The right regarding bequests, prohibition of injustice in them, and the virtue of hastening them during life
Hadith 6318

عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا حَقُّ امْرِئٍ يَبِيتُ لَيْلَتَيْنِ وَلَهُ مَالٌ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُوصِيَ فِيهِ إِلَّا وَوَصِيَّتُهُ مَكْتُوبَةٌ عِنْدَهُ
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever possesses wealth and wishes to make a will regarding it, it is not appropriate for him to let two nights pass except that his will should be written and kept with him.
