عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْعُمْرَى مِيرَاثٌ لِأَهْلِهَا أَوْ جَائِزَةٌ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever is given ‘Umra, it will become the inheritance of his family or it will be executed for him.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … That is, whatever is given to someone as ‘umra (life-grant), it will become his property, and after him, it will be distributed among his heirs; the right of the giver will be terminated.
