It is narrated from Imam Tawoos, he says: When we were children, we used to say that the one who takes back his gift is like the dog who vomits and then starts licking it, and we did not know that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, had given any example about this, until one day Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, narrated before us that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The one who takes back his gift is like the dog who vomits and then starts licking it.
